Tues., Jan. 4, 2011 Social Studies Classes and Homeroom Class Homework:























Social Studies-(All 5th grade classes) Work on coming up with a topic which is due by this Friday, January 7th. Our History Fair is going to be this January 26-28th. Also, if you have selected a topic and feel comfortable with it, go ahead and start working on it. Remember that the website to the National History Day is www.nhd.org.
Language Arts-(Our 5th grade homeroom class) AR library books, Evan-Moor Building Spelling Skills Gr.5 Week 8 write the spelling words and sentences 5 times each, and do Grammar Minutes Gr5 "Action and Linking Verbs" Minute36 (1-10), Daily Warm-Ups Reading Gr5 "Changes for Women" P45 (1-3) and "Moving to the City" P46 (1-4).

Mon., Dec. 13, 2010 Social Studies and Homeroom Homework:


Social Studies-(All 5th grade classes) Study the Middle-of-Year (MOY) Assessment given last week and be ready to take it again tomorrow. Make sure that you are researching topics and materials for our History Fair. The title for this year is, "Seeking Solutions to Problems When People and Nations Disagree".  

Language Arts-(Our homeroom class) Read AR library books, write the Spelling words and sentences of Evan-Moor Spelling Week5 5 times each, do Grammar Minutes Minute21 "Relative and Indefinite Pronouns" (1-10), and Daily Warm-Ups Reading Gr5 Daily Warm-Up6 "The Boa Constrictor" P14 (1-4).

George Washington (February 22, 1732 – December 14, 1799) was the dominant military and political leader of the new United States of America from 1775 to 1797, leading the American victory over Britain in the American Revolutionary War as commander in chief of the Continental Army, 1775–1783, and presiding over the writing of the Constitution in 1787.
